OFW Jobs: Saudi & UAE Salary Checks in ₱
Compare guaranteed salary, duties and living costs in the original currency and pesos, using the correct route for skilled or domestic work.
A promising overseas offer should explain the job you will actually do and the money you can rely on. This checklist helps welders, maintenance workers and domestic workers compare written terms before committing.
The Best Marketing Angle You’ve Never Tried
Everyone wants a marketing hack that makes growing their business easier.
But according to business guru @MarketingMax (9 figures in attributable revenue delivered to clients), one of the best no-cost marketing hacks is finding the one angle that makes people foam at the mouth wanting what you sell.
Lucky for you @MarketingMax put together a quick 2-page Google Doc breaking down how to find yours in 10 minutes, with 20+ real examples you can steal from.
The Short Version
- Check the Philippine recruitment agency and the matching job order separately.
- Separate guaranteed pay from allowances, overtime estimates and benefits in kind.
- Use the country route that matches your worker category. A trade contract and a domestic-work contract are not interchangeable.
1. Match the recruiter, employer and job
Start with the exact Philippine agency name, overseas employer, country and position. Check the agency’s current status and look for the matching approved job order through DMW. A licensed agency alone does not establish that its advertised position is authorized. Record the date of your check and confirm that recruitment for that specific role is still open.
If the inquiry page will not load, leave the check unresolved. Ask DMW or your local PESO for verification assistance. A screenshot forwarded by a recruiter is not your own current check, and a different job title is a question to resolve before you continue.
2. Put six offer details on one page
Pay
Record currency, basic pay, pay period and payment date. List each allowance separately and ask when it can be withheld.
Hours
Write the normal schedule, rest arrangements and how extra work is approved and paid. Keep estimated overtime out of guaranteed income.
Work
Name the employer, city, exact worksite and duties. For welding, ask about the process, materials, test and required certification.
Housing
Ask where you will live, who shares the accommodation, and what meals, utilities or deductions are included.
Transport
Clarify travel between accommodation and work, including late shifts. “Transport provided” needs a practical explanation.
Costs
Request an itemized list, the payer and the reason for each charge. Verify unclear charges with DMW/MWO before paying.
Convert only the guaranteed amount into pesos
Keep the monthly basic salary in Saudi riyals or UAE dirhams on your worksheet. On a separate line, multiply that amount by the dated PHP-per-currency reference rate. Record the date and label the result an estimate in ₱. Convert fixed allowances separately; leave possible overtime out of guaranteed pay.
Then compare a remittance provider’s actual quote, fees and the costs you expect to pay. A larger peso headline does not tell you what you can save. This guide does not supply a country-wide salary or a verified vacancy salary; use the figures from your actual written offer.

3. Saudi Arabia: choose the right contract lane
For establishment employment, Saudi HRSD describes contract management through Qiwa. Employees can approve, reject or request amendments through their individual account. When that service is available for your employment stage, compare the displayed employer, role, hours and financial terms with the offer you received. Request a correction to a discrepancy before agreeing.
Domestic workers use a separate route. HRSD identifies Musaned for domestic-labor contract documentation. Ask for the appropriate domestic contract and the process that applies to you; do not assume a factory or construction worker’s Qiwa steps also cover household employment. Account access and documentation steps depend on your circumstances.

4. UAE: check the offer and the worker category
MOHRE provides an employment-offer and contract inquiry form. It asks for transaction and worker identity details. Use the official form yourself with the correct reference; do not post passport details or verification codes in group chats. Compare any retrieved document with your written offer. We have not checked an individual applicant’s contract.
For domestic work, ask for the domestic-worker contract and appropriate MOHRE service. MWO Dubai’s forms page distinguishes skilled-worker forms from domestic forms and directs readers to obtain the UAE domestic-labor contract from MOHRE/Tadbeer. That office covers Dubai and the Northern Emirates; confirm the responsible MWO for your actual jobsite and processing route.

5. Compare what is guaranteed, not the headline
Here is a fictional comparison, not a vacancy: Offer A promises a larger “total package” but does not separate basic pay from possible overtime. Offer B lists basic pay, a fixed allowance and employer-provided transport. Neither automatically wins. First request the missing breakdown for A, then compare the same pay period and the costs you would actually bear.
For household work, add questions about household duties, caregiving expectations, living arrangements and rest. For maintenance or welding, add equipment, protective gear, shift and worksite questions. Keep these as role-specific checks rather than assuming one set of terms applies to every worker.
6. Ask for the missing terms in writing
Use this message: “Please send the complete offer and applicable contract, with the employer, duties, worksite, basic pay, allowances, hours, rest arrangements, accommodation, transport and itemized costs. Please also identify the Philippine recruitment agency, matching job order and the next official verification step.”
Save the reply beside your comparison. Mark every unanswered line “needs confirmation.” Keep a copy of each version so a later change is visible. Your next useful step is a documented answer to the biggest gap, not another salary screenshot.
